George H. Tomlinson

A former senior executive with a major Canadian pulp and paper firm, he was one of the first (1976) to sound the alarm concerning the impact of acid rain on forests and aquatic ecosystems.

Dr. Tomlinson has been active and influential in industrial circles and the research community in efforts to reduce acid rain.
