Unique invitation from UNEP, UN in Nairobi, Kenya
Globetree has received an invitation to contribute to the UNEP’s (United Environment Programme) conference on Globalization and the Environment 5th to 9th of February 2007 in Nairobi.

Ministers of the Environment, delegates and expertise from over 100 countries are expected to join the conference.
The Globetree contribution to the conference of Globalization and the Environment is:
• Participation in the opening of the conference
• Dialogue between delegates and children at the Children’s Meeting Place at the UN grounds
• Contributing with exhibitions

Latest news on the World Championship in Cooperation

Kampala is preparing for World Championship in Cooperation 2008
In the last study tour to the Lake Victoria Region, Kampala and Nairobi in November and December, 30 persons from Sweden participated. Together with colleagues from Kenya and Uganda discussions on the issues and experiences of the former World Championship 2006 took place. A handbook on the ten most essential parts of a World Championship in Cooperation was worked out.

Kampala tour in Sweden
Globetree plan to invite 6-8 persons from Lake Victoria region on a tour to Swedish Municipality’s for exchange of experiences. There are interests from City Districts of Stockholm, the municipalities of Strängnäs, Vimmerby, Kalix, Robertsfors and Skellefteå.

World Championship in Cooperation 2010 and 2012
The Mayor of Morelia in México has announced interest to host the World Championship in Cooperation 2010 in Morelia. He will personally join the UNEP Conference in February.
An upcoming interest is coming from Nairobi in Kenya to host the World Championship in Cooperation 2012 together with UNEP and UN Habitat.
