Anne Mearns Update

My main Consentration at present are:

1. We declared Conservancies (protection of natural ecosystems) at grasslands, wetlands and other natural areas.

People in these areas take action to protect species, stop pollution and protect the natural environment.

I have formed a hospital conservancy and two school conservancies.

2. Writing of resources materials, environmental education materials for nursery schools, pre- primary, primary schools and High schools.

3. Protection of wetlands and wetland species . birds, amphibians, and all wildlife and plants.

4. I have lectured in Sept 2006 at the University of Windhoek- Namibia - 3rd Year Students on - What is wetlands?
How to protect wetlands? Threats to wetlands. ETc. Was a great success - Must do it again in Sept 2007.

5. WE have a great problem our Local council wants to establish a dumping site in a wetland, it will effect ground water and life of thousands of people, also effect bird, and plant species, loss of important Agr Ground. I established a presssure group and we will do eveything to stop this action.

6. I would also like to published an anthology of poems Nature through the eyes of our Youth.
I am looking for funding to published this booklet. It will be send to youth all over the world.
