Dear Global 500 Laureate,

WELCOME TO THE SEAL THE DEAL! CAMPAIGN

The United Nations has launched a powerful, new campaign to encourage governments to seal the deal on a fair, balanced and effective climate agreement when they meet in Copenhagen this December. Titled Seal the Deal!, the campaign is mobilizing political leaders, the business sector and civil society on an ambitious, global scale to raise a strong call for urgent and united action on climate change.

UNEP is proud to have a lead role in the campaign and we wish to invite you to join us.  It's therefore my pleasure to provide a "Starter Kit" to support your involvement in the Seal the Deal! climate change campaign.

The links below enable you to download a range of campaign resources, including the logo .  Please find the Starter Kit list of contents attached.

Your ongoing participation in the journey to COP 15 in Copenhagen will ultimately underpin the success of this major outreach effort.  

At this important, early stage your involvement is sought in the following ways.

Call for your support
1. Please add a link from your website to the Seal the Deal! campaign site at: www.sealthedeal2009.org.
2. You  are kindly requested to record a 30-60 second video clip explaining "why we need to seal the deal in Copenhagen" (sample scripts supplied in starter kit).
3. Encourage you  to take part in campaign events and activities, including signing the petition online at the campaign website and joining the action during Climate Week from 20-26 September 2009.
